Upcoming Wyoming Game and Fish Hunter Education Courses – February 2026

Wyoming Outdoorsmen is sponsoring a special hunter safety course that is specifically focused and designed for girls and adult women who are beginning hunters.

This class will include the standard hunter safety curriculum and the instructors will incorporate topics geared toward the interests of female beginning hunters of all ages. The class is open to everyone and daughters who wish to bring their mother or father are encouraged to do so.

This class will be held at the new Cody Regional Game and Fish offices just north of Cody beginning on Monday evening Feb. 16 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and continuing at the same times on the evenings of Feb. 17-19, with the final class on Friday, Feb. 20 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Attendance at all class sessions is required along with successfully passing the class exam in order to receive a Wyoming Game and Fish Hunter Safety Certificate. To enroll in this class, go to the Wyoming Game and Fish website, wgfd.wyo.gov/ then:

• click on the “Education & Camps Button” in the top menu bar,

• click on “Hunter Education,”

• click on the RED “Traditional Course,”

• enter the postal code “82414,”

• Search for the class listed for “Wyoming Game and Fish Cody Regional Office” with Timothy Barry as lead instructor.
