2024 WYHUNTFISH-Wood River Turkey Hunt:
This is a Mentored Program that teaches youth and adults the basic hunting skills used in turkey hunting and then puts these skills to use on a Mentored Turkey Hunt on private ranches in the Wood River Valley west of Meeteetse, Wyoming during the spring 2023 turkey season that runs 20 April through 31 May. If interested the deadline for applications are March 13.
2023 WYHUNTFISH- FIRST FISH on the FLY:
The WYHUNTFISH-First Fish on a Fly is a Mentored Program that teaches youth and adults the basic skills and techniques fly anglers use to fish western trout rivers and lakes. Not only do you learn, but we are also thrilled to put your new skills and knowledge to the test and fly fish for your First Fish on a Fly.
During the summer and fall of 2024, WYHUNTFISH-First Fish on a Fly program this year we are partnering with the East Yellowstone Chapter of Trout Unlimited for the 2024 program. It will begin with a Fly Tying and Casting Clinic being held on Saturday May 11th at the Cody Regional Office of G & F. You will be seeing ads in the coming Cody and Powell Papers for this program. 2024 WYHUNTFISH-Wood River Deer Hunt:
The WYHUNTFISH-Wood River Deer Hunt is a Mentored Program that teaches youth and adults the basic hunting skills used in deer hunting and then puts these skills to use on a Mentored Deer Hunt on private ranches in the Wood River Valley west of Meeteetse, Wyoming during the fall 2024 Whitetail Doe Deer Season. WYHUNTFISH-Heart Mountain Bird Hunt:
Heart Mountain Bird Hunt is a Mentored Program that teaches youth (12 years and older) and adults.
the basic hunting skills used in upland bird hunting and then puts these skills to use on a mentored bird hunt on a private
bird hunting preserve near Cowley, Wyoming scheduled during the winter months. More info coming soon for 2024.
