Wyoming Outdoorsmen sponsors several Hunter’s Education courses throughout the year!

Upcoming “Wyoming Hunter Safety Course”

Get ready for your Fall 2023 Hunting Season

              Wyoming Outdoorsmen is sponsoring two Hunter Safety Courses in the month of August that are open to the General Public. You are encouraged to check these out as these are the last classes to be held in Cody prior to the 2023 hunting season!!!!!

One Class will be held in Cody at the Cody Regional Game and Fish Office on the evenings of August 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25th beginning each evening at 5:30 pm and concluding at 8:45 pm. Bruce Salzmann is the coordinating Instructor for this course.

A second class will be held in Powell at the Park County Fairgrounds’ Homesteader Hall on the afternoons of August14, 15, 16, 17 and 18th beginning at 1:00pm and concluding at 5:00pm. Jeremiah Vardiman is the Coordinating Instructor for this course.

              These classes will include the standard Hunter Safety Curriculum and students that attend all class sessions and receive a passing grade on the class exam will receive their “Wyoming Game and Fish Hunter Safety Certificate.

              The cost of the class is $10 per student and will be collected at the first class session. The class fee is wavied for Members of Wyoming Outdoorsmen and their minor children. All class materials will be handed out at the first class session.

              An additional Class that is NOT sponsored by Wyoming Outdoorsmen will also be held at the Cody Regional Game and Fish Office on the evenings of august 9,10 and 11th and during the day on Saturday the 12th. Tara Hodges is the coordinating Instructor for this class.

Women’s and Girl’s Hunter ED Class at Cody Firearms Experience— General Public

Get ready for your Fall 2023 Hunting Season!

Wyoming Outdoorsmen are sponsoring a Hunter Safety Course that is open to the General Public. This course is specifically focused and designed for Girls and Adult Women that are “Beginning Hunters.” Daughters who wish to bring their mom or dad are encouraged to do so.

This class will be held at the New Cody Regional Game and Fish Offices just north of Cody beginning on Monday evening February 27th from 5:15 pm till 8:45 pm and will be the same time on the evenings of February 28th, March 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

This Class will include the standard Hunter Safety Curriculum, but instructors will incorporate topics geared toward the interest of Female Hunters and students that attend all class sessions and receive a passing grade on the class exam will receive their Wyoming Game and Fish Hunter Safety Certificate.

This class is recommended for females ages 10 and older who needs their Hunter Safety Certificate for this coming hunting season.

The cost of the class is $10 per student. Fee will be collected at the class. The class fee is waived for Members of Wyoming Outdoorsmen and their minor children. All class materials will be handed out at the class session.
